The Evolving Virus

What had initiated as merely just a small panic in one small city, slowly grew and evolved into a global nightmare disguised as a deadly pandemic. The Coronavirus pandemic that has been encircling the globe for the past 6 months has created havoc, fear and fright in the minds of all. This virus has bound us all together by an invisible string of hope, for we are all fighting the same battle against the fiercest opponent. The evolution of the virus simply translates to the growth and progression of the virus and it’s spread to other parts of the globe, that slowly beginning to cause mass deaths all over the world.
Early on into the outbreak of the virus, rumors enveloped the globe that Novel Coronavirus had a cure. Not only were those rumors a mere fakery, but also those rumors marked the peak of the virus and it only began to spread further from thereon. It was as if the virus took a one-way ticket all around the globe, with no intention making a return for it is still very much prevalent and still encircles the earth, evoking fright and fear amongst all.
The evolution of SARS cov-2 has been a lengthy, unanticipated and unplanned turning point in history wherein we have been unfortunate enough to see a global lockdown, shutting down of business, crashing economies, bankruptcies, deteriorating mental health, and so many more heartbreaking situations that make this disease such a relevant turning point in history.
The growth of the virus has been such that it has affected more than seven million people worldwide and is not stopping yet. Its resistance has been testified by the fact that it is still relevant today and still continues to affect people daily. With that being said, the virus will not stop anytime soon. We must make taking cautionary measures our normal lifestyle as this virus will live and grow with us till it ultimately ceases. Stay safe and stay home!

The Importance of credible news in these times

During these trying times due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world is in a state of vulnerability. With false news being shared across various social media platforms and Whatsapp “forwarded messages”, our vulnerable state allows us to accept the false news as the real news. More often than not, we tend to believe almost anything we read related to the COVID-19 pandemic as we feel obliged to educate ourselves as much as we possibly can, not realizing that this leads us to unnecessarily panic and hyperventilate over inconsequential pieces of information that are untrue and not supported by any higher authorities.  To educate ourselves, (especially during a fragile time like this), means to find the correct education, trustable sources of information and then proceeding to share them with loved ones hoping to educate them too.  What we seem to overlook is that not all “news” really is news, but since we are all in this state of unfortunate vulnerability, we tend to...

Delhi to Open World’s Largest COVID-19 Facility on July 1

In our current pandemic situation where hospitals are running out of beds, and private hospitals are charging a huge amount for COVID-19 treatment, South Delhi’s Radha Soami Satsang Beas is all set to open the world’s largest COVID-19 facility for around 10,000 patients on 16,50,000 sq ft of land. In order to handle the rapid increase in Delhi’s COVID-19 cases, this facility will be beneficial. With 10,000 beds and 18,000 tons of air conditioning, it will be the largest Coronavirus Facility in the World. Mud floor is bare and the ceiling is having slow-rotating fans which will provide a slow breeze to the patients. The Satsang ground has been taken over by the Delhi Government which is almost the size of 22 football fields. Delhi Government has also planned to add 15,680 more beds by taking all the banquet halls, auditoriums, and other public facilities but this plan is not confirmed yet.
