Due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus the whole world is under great tensity. The number of patients is increasing day by day. Our economy is facing a great fall; hundreds of people have lost their jobs. Everybody is hoping and praying relentlessly for all this to come to a halt but the question remains the same that “when will this end?” The havoc of coronavirus is said to originate in a meat market hub of the city Wuhan, China. Since then the number of COVID patients are accelerating daily, all over the world.
In the midst of COVID-19, floods, war, and whatnot, the ones who are affected the most are members of the human race. With this sudden outbreak, the whole world was dismayed. From cancellation of our planned proceedings to an uncertain future, we are left to stay in a confined area and kick our heels relentlessly in an aspiration for a better tomorrow. From trying new Instagram challenges, experimenting in the kitchen, completing various series on Netflix, we have done it all but boredom still continues for some.
Lockdown was imposed for about 4 months and even now when we do have some liberty to go out with the introduction of “Unlock 1.0”, by the government, the conditions are even worse and are deteriorating with every coming day. Patience, which is already scarce amongst us Indians, is diminishing each day.
Where some used the time to introspect others ended up overthinking, about how and when things would go back to normal. The unfailing endurance was a major reason for discontentment among people earlier, but now it’s totally a different ball game. People are seeing this state as an end to whatever they could have achieved or would have done, due to all this a ‘bottled up’ situation is created where one's emotions mostly negative and unpleasant are stacked up, but once it reaches its saturation point people lose their nerves and become rampant. Instead of channeling their gloomy thoughts, they turn violent towards others or themselves. This leads the way to domestic violence, depression and even suicide.
This piece is for all those who are facing the same situation or are in the middle of getting into all of this. It’s time now to open your curtains and let the light illuminate even the darkest part of your room with positivity and warmth. Try finding a way to stay happy, appreciate the little things in life, and set short term goals that can be fulfilled by you. Rather than wasting your time on magnifying everything, utilize this to do something productive. It need not be a very big initiative or work, just move step by step.
Norman Vincent Peale profoundly said ‘Shoot for the moon and even if you fail you will be amongst the stars’. Is ‘always’ better than ‘what-if?’ It is not the time to lose hope. We cannot afford to do so when the world is surviving on the basis of it. It’s not the time to stay helpless. If this happens, the virus will win. It is time to come together and prove that India is wholly and solely against COVID-19. Ab darna nahi kuch karna hain, ab harna nahi harana hain.

Beautifully written! "It is not the time to lose hope", indeed.
